Hyderabad Representative: With the aim of extending a helping hand to underprivileged sections of society, BEHUMANS WELFARE FOUNDATION successfully conducted its first social initiative, the “Umbrella Distribution Drive 2026,” in the Barkatpura area of Hyderabad. As part of the initiative, umbrellas were distributed among female college students studying in educational institutions in the area. The programme was organised with the objective of providing protection from the rain and addressing the difficulties faced by students during the monsoon season.
The umbrellas for the initiative were donated by N. B. Kulkarni in memory of his mother. The donation was distributed to the students through BEHUMANS WELFARE FOUNDATION as part of its social welfare efforts. The distribution programme was attended by N. B. Kulkarni and his wife, Sunita Kulkarni, who distributed the umbrellas to the students. Also present on the occasion were Madhuri Gajanan Bidkar, Director of BEHUMANS WELFARE FOUNDATION; Gaurav Gajanan Bidkar; and Gajanan Gangadharrao Bidkar, Founder and CEO of the Foundation.
Speaking on the occasion, Founder and CEO Gajanan Gangadharrao Bidkar said that the umbrella distribution drive marked the Foundation’s first social initiative. While the programme may have been modest in scale at the beginning, he said the organisation intends to expand its social welfare activities in the future and consistently reach out to people in need. He emphasised that social transformation does not always require large-scale assistance. Even small contributions made by individuals according to their capacity can collectively bring about significant change in society.
Bidkar appealed to citizens, social workers, entrepreneurs and individuals willing to contribute to social causes to come forward and support the Foundation’s initiatives. The successful execution of the programme was made possible through the valuable contribution of all the executive members and volunteers of BEHUMANS WELFARE FOUNDATION. From planning and coordination to the actual distribution of umbrellas, members actively participated and ensured the smooth completion of the initiative.
The Foundation stated that it will continue to undertake various social welfare programmes in the future while upholding its commitment to social responsibility and community service. With the message, “With your small help, we can bring about a big change. Let us come together and preserve humanity,” the Foundation has embarked on its journey of social service. Carrying forward its core philosophy, “BE HUMANS, BE HONEST,” BEHUMANS WELFARE FOUNDATION aims to encourage people from all sections of society to participate in its efforts and collectively contribute towards building a more compassionate and responsible community.
